Our story began back in 2016, when we—Dane and Kelly Richardson—launched Barnhouse Interiors as a family-run business rooted in traditional woodworking and fine furniture making. What started as a passion for crafting timeless pieces by hand soon grew into a successful venture, with our work reaching homes in over 15 countries and earning recognition for its quality, design, and personal touch.

As our love for restoring and enhancing living spaces grew, so did our interest in the materials and finishes that bring character to a home. This led us to retrain and specialise in the art of plastering—particularly traditional lime plastering and Venetian finishes. Drawing from our background in craftsmanship, we found a natural transition from joinery to heritage plastering, where attention to detail and skill are just as vital.

Today, Barnhouse focuses exclusively on plastering—offering a blend of traditional methods and contemporary design. Whether working with the breathable beauty of lime or the polished elegance of Venetian plaster, we bring the same care, passion, and craftsmanship that defined our early days in furniture making.
